Job Purpose: Maintains service operations by inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Duties & Responsibilities: Diagnose vehicle issues using proper tools and techniques. Perform preventive maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations/changes, wheel balancing, and filter replacements. Repair and maintain major systems such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical systems. Maintain vehicle functionality by addressing operator concerns, conducting inspections, and replacing or repairing faulty components. Verify vehicle serviceability through test drives, adjustments, and safety checks. Comply with state and industry requirements by testing engine performance, emissions, and safety standards. Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, detailing, and minor body repairs. Keep accurate vehicle service and repair records. Maintain shop equipment and tools by performing preventive maintenance and coordinating repairs as needed. Manage costs by using warranties, evaluating service and parts options, and sourcing supplies effectively. Stay current with automotive technology and repair practices through ongoing training and technical publications. Support overall shop operations and organizational goals by completing related tasks as needed. Skills & Qualifications: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work on engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical systems Dependability, persistence, and attention to detail Time management and problem-solving abilities Safety-conscious with good physical stamina (lifting required) Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
