Job Description

The Human Resources Internship is an excellent opportunity for a current student to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a fast-paced Sports and Hospitality environment. The HR Intern will support all aspects of the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, evaluating, screening, and interviewing candidates. Additional responsibilities include assisting with Masters Tournament preparation, onboarding initiatives, and a variety of general HR tasks.


Beyond talent acquisition, the intern will gain exposure to key areas of Human Resources, such as Total Rewards, Learning and Development, and HR Business Partner functions. This role requires the highest level of professionalism and discretion, as maintaining strict confidentiality of all Club business is essential.

Essential Functions of the Job


  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including posting jobs, reviewing rsums, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support onboarding activities such as preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR databases and systems.
  • Help organize employee engagement, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
  • Assist with coordinating training sessions, workshops, and other learning programs.
  • Compile HR metrics, reports, and presentations for management.
  • Research HR best practices, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide frontline assistance to employees with general HR inquiries.
  • Support special events, campus recruiting, and career fairs as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.


Physical Demands
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties including but not limited to preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
  • Occasionally required to walk and work with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds and/or drive a golf cart.
  • Constantly required to sit, sometimes for several hours at a time, and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Qualifications:


Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Publisher, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Planning, prioritizing and time management skills to meet deadlines while working with multiple projects
  • Efficient organizational skills
  • Creative, resourceful and diligent in working with repetitious job tasks
  • High attention for details


Relative Experience/Education:
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Participation in a Bachelors program, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or related field
Required License(s):
  • Possess a valid driver's license and/or successfully completes the Club's internal motor vehicle training program

Projected Work Schedule:


Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
