Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION : Sells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists all customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Provides high level of service to customers.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts that need immediate attention.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts.
• Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
• Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
• Participates in all training programs that are made available.
• Keeps current on new products and product updates.
• Computer knowledge
• Be motivated, proactive, focused and well organized
• Minimum 3 years experience with Auto or Truck Parts EDUCATION AND/OR
EXPERIENCE :
• High School Graduate
• Parts Department Experience PHYSICAL
DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Able to work overtime when necessary
• Flexible Hours
• Ability to stand all day if necessary
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.
• Use of a hand truck if necessary
• Climbing up ladders and stairs
• Warehouse environment
