Are you looking to get experience in the culinary field and increase your knowledge of the restaurant back of house industry? SentryWorld Banquets Teams is looking for a candidate to fill a prep cook position.

In banquets, youll build experience in creating handcrafted culinary items, including fresh seafood, variety of proteins, and seasonal dishes made with the finest locally and globally sourced ingredients.

This position is full-time, 40 hours a week.

What You'll Do

As a Prep Cook, we entrust in you to lead a top-notch dining experience for all of our guests by:

• Preparing a variety of dishes made from our very own recipes
• Getting the opportunity to show culinary creativity in daily features
• Maintaining an exceptionally clean and functional work area
• Keeping food waste to a minimum
• Working on banquets and special functions
• Working beyond normally scheduled hours
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time

What it Takes

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience
• 0-2 years of related hospitality experience preferred
• Ability to obtain the State a Food Handlers Certification
• Ability to prepare food from recipes, commensurate with incumbents skill level
• Strong communication skills and self-motivated
• Able to multi-task and able to follow written or verbal instructions
• Hours for this position may require working at night and on weekends and holidays
